This hard wood, known as "Yumu" in Chinese dialects, has been a staple of artisans in northern China for centuries. By sourcing well-seasoned reclaimed timber where possible, we aim to not only honour the rich history of this wood but also the enduring resilience of our furniture, ensuring it is suited to withstanding changes in climate or humidity. Though negligible cracks and shifts may emerge naturally over time, these markings help to impart an authentic charm.
